The 9638B is a low g military OCXO that uses electronic techniques to provide up to 40dB of compensation when operating under vibration, in a 1" high package.
Symmetricom's 9638B low g Sensitivity Military Oscillator is designed to withstand a wide range of operating environments encountered in next generation military navigation, radar, and secure communications systems.
High Performance Crystal Resonator
The 9638B is based around an ovenized 10 MHz, 3rd-overtone SC-cut crystal resonator enclosed in a hermetically sealed 2.07" x 2.187" x 1.01" H package. Acceleration sensitivity of <2 E-11 per g (gamma) over wide frequency ranges can be achieved.
Superior Dynamic Phase Noise Performance
Symmetricom's similar product, the 9633, achieves superior dynamic phase noise performance by utilizing both electronic and mechanical compensation techniques to provide up to 40dB of compensation when operating under vibration. However, the 9638B uses only electronic compensation, to schieve a lower package height than the 9633.
